All patients were asked to complete the Modified Dental Anxiety Scale to evaluate the level of dental anxiety and the related factors. The data was analyzed by SPSS 13.0 software package. RESULTS: The prevalence rate of dental anxiety in outpatients was 61.37%;Dental anxiety was more likely to occur in female patients, patients of lower education level, and patients who re-visit or visit for oral surgery (P<0.05).
